To repent, or not repent?

Repent actually means “to change one’s mind” so if this is what Jesus was telling the world when he was here the first time, then what does this have to do with me? Well if I truly believe in the words of Christ then I have to believe in the work of Christ and also believe in the one he represents!

2 Timothy 3:1-7

1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.

2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,

3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,

4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.

6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses,

7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

This was and is a warning to those who will be alive in the days just prior to the second coming of Jesus the Christ! Paul wrote this so that we who had ears to hear would be alert and watchful! If you read the above scriptures and have no clue what this means then you are in need of a recap of things so that you can understand this has everything to do with you, your family, and everything you see right now!

Matthew 4:12-17

12 Now when Jesus heard that John had been taken into custody, He withdrew into Galilee;

13 and leaving Nazareth, He came and settled in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali.

14 This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet:

15 “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,

By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles—

16 “The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great Light,

And those who were sitting in the land and shadow of death,

Upon them a Light dawned.”

17 From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

The word of the living God (Yahweh) was always kept down through the ages so that we who had ears to hear would be able to listen and then change our minds about our fallen state of being. Jesus was born 2,000 years ago and walked this earth to teach us all what it was that Yahweh had truly intended for us all. The problem with most people is that they will choose to live for the here and now only to hold on to foolish pride as they can’t see they need to change their minds. What were the people of Jesus time doing that they needed to change their minds about?

In the time of Christ there were three different sets of Jewish scholars and for most of us we have only heard of two. There were Pharisees Sadducees, and then the Essenes! The Pharisees were the government type hand that would enforce that which they wanted instead of that which Yahweh intended. They were manipulators of the law. The Pharisees were more about the oral law (Mishnah) as the Sadducees were more about the written law (Torah) and they were both holding the truth in unrighteousness because neither were righteous in the eyes of Yahweh to begin with. The Pharisees were set around two hundred years before Christ so that they could preserve the truth of Yahweh’s word in order to keep the Greek/pagan influences out of the land and out of the people of Yahweh! The only problem is that they allowed self-righteousness attitudes to suck them in over the years and they became deceived by the same evil that was embedded in the pagan roots. This is why Jesus called them out!

John 8:39-45

39 They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you are Abraham’s children, do the deeds of Abraham.

40 “But as it is, you are seeking to kill Me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from God; this Abraham did not do.

41 “You are doing the deeds of your father.” They said to Him, “We were not born of fornication; we have one Father: God.”

42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me.

43 “Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word.

44 “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

45 “But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me.

Abraham believed and had faith in Yahweh! You will see why this matters shortly! The Sadducees were the ones over the Temple and such things related but you can see what they were doing as well to pervert the house of Yahweh!

Matthew 21:12-16

12 And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves.

13 And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’; but you are making it a robbers’ den.”

14 And the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.

15 But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that He had done, and the children who were shouting in the temple, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they became indignant

16 and said to Him, “Do You hear what these children are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes; have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies You have prepared praise for Yourself’?”

They were making a mockery of Yahweh and this was beyond foolishness. So of course Jesus did what he did out of righteous anger in the above text! Some say Jesus sinned here but that is crazy talk! He didn’t cause harm to anyone here and then the ones who saw it for what it truly was were healed for their faith!

The Essenes were the men behind the scenes that were very strict at keeping the Laws of Yahweh but in case you haven’t noticed we do not see them mentioned in the common bible today. Why? Well I believe that they were the ones who were attempting at their best to stay true to Yahweh’s word but of course they also knew that they were broken as well. This is why Josephus the first century Jewish Historian mentioned them in his writings and these men also became the first of many true followers of Christ. They were mentioned in detail in the Dead Sea scrolls as well! If one were to study these things it will open up the ears in a way that only the Holy Spirit of Yahweh can do its work in us! No matter what the case may be with all these men or people, we who are believers in the Christ know that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things if we are truly listening to Yahweh!

John 14:26-28

26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.

27 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

28 “You heard that I said to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

Jesus tells us that the Father is greater than he is and it was the Father who did all things through Christ! We who are under the authority of Christ, if we truly have faith, will be led by the one who was given all authority from Yahweh thus allowing us to do all things through Christ!

1 Corinthians 8:6

6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.

Philippians 4:13-20

13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

14 Nevertheless, you have done well to share with me in my affliction.

15 You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone;

16 for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs.

17 Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account.

18 But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.

19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

20 Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

So back to what we are to repent from! Jesus was telling the people of his time that all the pagan beliefs and foolishness they were entertaining was keeping them from seeing his Father (Yahweh)! The one and only living God! Jesus set out to show the world that it was by having real faith in Yahweh and by loving Him above all things, that we too could understand Him (Yahweh) and we could be forgiven of our sins if we trust in the work that Jesus was sent to do! Then out of 100% faith in the finished plan of Yahweh, Jesus went to the cross to end the eternal separation we had from his Father ever since the fall of mankind from the Garden of Eden! This same evil Jesus exposed then, and set us free from in his death and resurrection, exists right in front of our faces now! This evil is what we were truly set free from if one were to truly believe in what Christ did! If you want to face the evil for what it is, then get educated! I am not usually for buying things that Yahweh can already provide but you can go here to purchase things that will help wake you up before it is too late!

You can never approach the living God without first knowing His Son Jesus though! After we know Jesus we are to understand that this means we will be divided from those who are still in the world not united! Death means “separation” and we were separated from Yahweh because of unbelief! Adam and Eve choose to not believe Yahweh and then believe the lie of the serpent thus creating separation from Yahweh to begin with. This same unbelief creates room for evil to take root thus creating the sins we obtain from the unbelief in the first place.

Luke 17:4

4 “And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ forgive him.”

Luke 24:47

47 and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Acts 2:38

38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 3:19

19 “Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;

Acts 5:31

31 “He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

We are told our repentance from our unbelief is then rewarded for our forgiveness of sins! Most people attempt to repent (change their minds) about their sin but can never truly obtain the Holy Spirit because they still have unbelief in their hearts! Look at the above text closely and you will see that we are told If we repent (change our minds) from our unbelief in Yahweh, then in turn or sins are forgiven because of the blood that Christ shed for us! So from Jesus, to Peter, and many of the original Apostles we are taught this in their words if one truly reads and studies it! Then we can be taught via the Holy Spirit like Jesus was and be aware of the true enemy not being deceived! If you have unbelief in your heart then you are in the same shoes of the ones who deny God in the first place. After all saying God does not exist is unbelief correct? Jesus wants you to believe just like the original disciples!

Mark 9:16-29

16 And He asked them, “What are you discussing with them?”

17 And one of the crowd answered Him, “Teacher, I brought You my son, possessed with a spirit which makes him mute;

18 and whenever it seizes him, it slams him to the ground and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth and stiffens out. I told Your disciples to cast it out, and they could not do it.

19 And He answered them and said, “O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me!”

20 They brought the boy to Him. When he saw Him, immediately the spirit threw him into a convulsion, and falling to the ground, he began rolling around and foaming at the mouth.

21 And He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.

22 “It has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!”

23 And Jesus said to him, “ ‘If You can?’ All things are possible to him who believes.”

24 Immediately the boy’s father cried out and said, “I do believe; help my unbelief.”

25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly gathering, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You deaf and mute spirit, I command you, come out of him and do not enter him again.”

26 After crying out and throwing him into terrible convulsions, it came out; and the boy became so much like a corpse that most of them said, “He is dead!”

27 But Jesus took him by the hand and raised him; and he got up.

28 When He came into the house, His disciples began questioning Him privately, “Why could we not drive it out?”

29 And He said to them, “This kind cannot come out by anything but prayer.”

This same demon is what evil has convinced us is now called a seizure! So we take people to the sorcery (pharmacy) of modern day evil! I could go on forever about this but it will do no good should you still choose to have unbelief in your hearts! The wages of sin is death but if we are to follow the true teachings of Jesus then we will acquire the truth that can make us free and then defeat that separation (death) that was in place for each one of us from birth! Evil knows that if you truly believe in Yahweh and His Christ and truly change your mind (repent) about the lies of this world then you will then have access to the throne room of Heaven. This means that you will have ears to hear and then truly have eyes to see. Jesus never rebuked the sins of his disciples because Jesus always knew it was their unbelief that was the root of their sins. So to put this in modern day terms! How can you know that you are being told the truth from doctors, government, and so many more if you still have unbelief about Yahweh in your heart? Did Jesus ever go to the doctors of his time? Did Jesus ever embrace the government of his time? How about religion? We are deceived and most don’t want to face this fact thus creating the further unbelief we see. It is sad that many have already fallen for the beast system and still refuse to change their minds about the same things that deceived them to begin with. This explains why they have trusted the sorcery (pharmacies) or in Greek (Pharmakeia) or witchcraft that is wrapped in all these vaccine lies over the past hundred years! As of now you still have time to repent about all these things but soon you will lose the heart too because you fear all the wrong things! May Yahweh Bless you and His Christ guide your hearts and steps in the days ahead!
